MUAY THAI IN CAGAYAN DE ORO AT LIFT ATHLETICS
Lift Athletics is a Muay Thai gym in Cagayan de Oro, located at First Touch U-Belt, Pueblo de Oro, Uptown CDO. Lift Athletics teaches Muay Thai classes covering punches, elbows, knees, kicks and clinch work, which gives it a wider range than boxing. Muay Thai training here is scaled to the person, so beginners start with stance and basic kicks. Coaches run every session and correct technique as you move. Gloves and shin guards are available to rent. Muay Thai is priced separately from gym access, starting at ₱450 per session, and schedules change, so confirm your slot before paying.
What a Muay Thai session includes
A Lift Athletics Muay Thai session runs about an hour. It moves from warm up to technique, then pad rounds with a coach, and finishes with conditioning. Once your basics are solid your coach brings you into clinch drills, which is where Muay Thai separates itself from other striking sports.
Who Muay Thai training suits
Muay Thai training at Lift Athletics suits complete beginners, members who want Muay Thai fitness rather than competition, and anyone who finds ordinary cardio boring. Muay Thai workouts build leg strength, core control and balance. Expect sore shins for the first two weeks. Nobody at Lift Athletics is required to spar.
Lift Athletics also teaches boxing in Cagayan de Oro and offers personal training for one on one work.

MUAY THAI QUESTIONS
Is Muay Thai good for beginners?
Yes. We start with stance and basic kicks, and your coach keeps the pace sensible while you learn.
Do I need my own gear?
Not to start. Gloves and shin guards are available to rent, and we sell gear at the gym once you are ready.
What is the schedule?
Muay Thai times change depending on the coaches and who is training. Please call +63 956 958 3620 or message us to confirm before you come in.
How is it different from boxing?
Boxing is hands only. Muay Thai adds kicks, knees, elbows and clinch work, so there is more to learn and more conditioning involved.
